The High Holidays are right around the corner and this year Metro Chicago Hillel and Base have new expanded offerings! Click here to sign up! While services are geared towards Metro Chicago Hillel students, all High Holiday services and meals are open to all Chicago Basers (students and young adults) except the first night of Rosh Hashanah dinner (9/20) which is for Metro Chicago Hillel students.

Rosh Hashanah

Wednesday, September 20th:

  • 6:30 pm: Services  
  • 7:30 pm: Dinner for Metro Chicago Hillel students

Thursday, September 21st: 

  • 10 am: Services
  • 12:30 pm: Lunch
  • 2:30 pm: Taschlich  (we will walk down to the lake together and cast our transgressions into the water.  BYOBread or we'll have some for you!)

Yom Kippur

Friday, September 29th:

  • 6:30 pm: Kol Nidre services
  • 8:00 pm discussion led by Rabbi Megan

Saturday, September 30th:

  • 4:30 pm: Yom Kippur conversation led by Metro Chicago Hillel staff
  • 5:30 pm: Sing out the fast
  • 6:15 pm: Neilah (Final service of Yom Kippur)
  • 7:15 pm: Break-the-fast dinner
