THE LOOP

Silverstein Base Hillel: Loop
Silverstein Base Hillel is a home for students and their friends and the actual home of a rabbinic family committed to pluralism and founded on three core values: hospitality, learning, and service.

Rav Ezra and his wife Laura invite you and all Metro Chicago Hillel students into their beautiful home in the Loop to learn, volunteer, celebrate, and of course eat with them. Metro Chicago Hillel is fortunate to have the first Base Hillel in the country integrated into a campus Hillel.

The Silverstein Base Hillel is made possible through generous support from the Silverstein Family, the Crown Family, Anonymous, and JUF's Breakthrough Fund.

To get involved in the Silverstein Base Hillel: Loop, contact Rav Ezra and check out the Base home page.

Hillel at Columbia College Chicago
Students at Columbia are right in the heart of Chicago’s downtown area and we make sure to utilize the city while planning our Hillel events down there. Hillel can often be found congregating in a coffee shop close by or for a meeting in Grant Park. We offer opportunities for students to become leaders and use their creative juices to help plan themed Shabbat dinners, volunteering events, or find fun opportunities to connect to different Jewish artists and leaders in Chicago. We look forward to seeing you at an event soon!

Hillel at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago
SAIC has a tight-knit group of Jewish students who are excited about growing their community on campus. Students come together for holiday celebrations and have brought in Israeli artists to speak to their student body. SAIC is looking for more students to join in and help plan some great events for the upcoming year.

Hillel at Roosevelt University
Roosevelt students also share the downtown Loop area of Chicago. Roosevelt's students often make their way to meet other Hillel students at coffee shops downtown or joining in on Metro Chicago Hillel’s events in the Loop. We are always looking for new ideas and ways to utilize Roosevelt’s spaces for our events. We are happy to help bring students visions for Jewish programming to life.
