Seth is building one of Chicago’s fastest growing communal organizations as executive director of Metro Chicago Hillel. Under his leadership, participation has grown sevenfold in two years, drawing students from a mix of public and private, commuter and residential schools. Hillel now has facilities in three strategic urban neighborhoods. Seth’s advocacy for Israel on campus has received international media attention. In 2016-2017, he is a Katz Family Fellow in a joint program of the Herbert D. Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies at the University of Pennsylvania and CLAL.
Seth holds degrees from York and Yeshiva Universities and received rabbinic ordination after many years of study.
Prior to moving to Chicago, Seth was assistant director and rabbi of the University of Michigan Hillel and served on the board of the Ann Arbor Hebrew Day School. He has also served on the rabbinic advisory board of Jewish Women International and on the executive committee of the Chicago Board of Rabbis.
