As the sun sets on Friday evening, somewhere in the city of Chicago is a gathering of students from across our many campuses coming together to welcome the Shabbat. Shabbat dinner with Metro Chicago Hillel has become a key piece of the community we have built amongst Jewish college students throughout Chicago. They provide a place for students to meet new friends, catch up with old friends and hold many Birthright reunions; making this Jewish tradition the most anticipated part of the week. We encourage students to come and bring friends to enjoy a free Shabbat meal together. Please be sure to check in as we continue to add dates of where you can find Shabbat this week!
Holidays are a time for our students to come together to share in the festivities of the Jewish calendar. We make it a top priority to ensure that every students has a place to go to spend the holidays. We partner with many different synagogues to open their doors to our students for High Holiday services. Closer to the holidays we will have a full list of dinners and services open to our students at no charge!
Note: All food served at Hillel, including at Shabbat and Holidays is certified Kosher
