We are happy to list relevant scholarships and other opportunities below as a courtesy for our students and young adults.   • HIAS Immigration & Citizenship is pleased to offer academic scholarships for the 2026/2027 school year:

    • 8 scholarships for Jewish students whose families are from the former Soviet Union

    • 2 scholarships for refugees from any background

    In order to apply, students should identify as:

    • An immigrant who immigrated to the U.S. with the assistance of HIAS Immigration & Citizenship; OR

    • A U.S.-born child or grandchild of an immigrant who immigrated to the U.S. with the assistance of HIAS Immigration & Citizenship; OR

    • Someone who applied for an immigration service with the assistance of HIAS Immigration & Citizenship

    Additionally, applicants must:

    • Have lived in the U.S. for at least two years

    • Demonstrate academic excellence, financial need, community service in their broader communities, and a well thought-out educational plan

    • Begin or continue education on a full-time basis at a four year college or university in 2026/2027
